Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using Carello, including bookings, payments, provider services, and acceptable use of the platform.

Agreement to these terms

By using Carello, creating an account, making a booking, or offering services as a provider, you agree to these terms.

If you use Carello on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.

Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for your account and for the information you provide to Carello. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Use Carello only if you are legally allowed to do so and, for providers, meet the requirements shown during onboarding.

What Carello provides

Carello provides a platform that helps parents discover and book childcare, restaurants, activities, and related services.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, childcare services, restaurant services, and activity services are provided by independent providers or partners, not by Carello itself.

Bookings and payments

When you make or accept a booking through Carello:

  • You are responsible for checking dates, times, locations, prices, service details, and any special instructions before confirming.
  • Payments, refunds, payouts, and fees may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
  • Availability, booking changes, and partner reservations may depend on the provider, restaurant, activity partner, or integration involved.

Parent responsibilities

Parents and guardians remain responsible for deciding whether a provider, restaurant, activity, or booking is suitable for their family. Parents agree to:

  • Provide accurate household, child, address, timing, emergency, and handover information.
  • Be available for handover and emergency contact where relevant.
  • Review provider information, availability, and booking terms before confirming.

Provider responsibilities

Providers are responsible for the services they offer through Carello. Providers agree to:

  • Meet applicable legal, safety, age, verification, and onboarding requirements.
  • Keep availability, pricing, profile details, and payout information accurate.
  • Deliver services professionally, communicate clearly, and follow confirmed booking details.

Cancellations and changes

Cancellation, refund, change, and no-show rules may depend on the type of booking and the terms shown in the booking flow or account area.

If a restaurant, activity partner, provider, or integration changes availability, we will use reasonable efforts to communicate the update and support the next practical step.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse Carello. This includes:

  • Using Carello for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, threatening, or abusive activity.
  • Bypassing Carello to avoid fees, payments, safety checks, or platform rules after making contact through Carello.
  • Posting false, misleading, infringing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Interfering with the security, availability, scraping protections, or normal operation of the service.

User content and communications

You are responsible for the messages, reviews, profile information, photos, and other content you submit to Carello.

You give Carello permission to use that content as needed to operate, display, moderate, support, and improve the service.

Third-party services

Carello may rely on third-party services for payments, authentication, hosting, maps, restaurant availability, analytics, security, email, and support. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Service availability

We aim to keep Carello reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may update, suspend, or change parts of the service when needed.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carello is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, missed bookings, or damage caused by independent providers, partners, users, or third-party services.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Suspension or termination

We may suspend or close an account, cancel access, remove content, or take other reasonable action if we believe these terms are violated, a safety concern exists, fraud is suspected, or the service is being misused.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Carello, legal requirements, or our business practices change. The latest version is published on this page, and continued use of Carello means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and contact

Unless mandatory law says otherwise, these terms are governed by Dutch law.
